*In Memoriam*
2008 Thoroughbred gelding, 16.2 bay. By Chief Seattle (by Seattle Slew). After a brief, unsuccessful stint as a racehorse, “Mosby” was given to me to retrain as an eventer. He won the Beginner Novice Combined Test at Longwood Farm in Ocala, which was his first show ever. He placed 3rd and 2nd at his first two recognized Beginner Novice Horse Trials and had a couple of great showings at Novice in 2012, including 2nd place at the Morningside Combined Test and 3rd at the Waredaca August HT. He was also 2nd at the Fall Waredaca Horse Trials, where he was recognized by the Jockey Clubs Thoroughbred Incentive Program as the Top Placed Novice Horse. “Mosby” rocked his first Training level Horse Trials at Florida Horse Park in February of 2013, going on to achieve several top 3 placings at the Training Level. My beautiful boy sustained major injuries in the pasture and was euthanized on Christmas Eve after it became evident that his body would not keep up with his fighting spirit. He is sorely missed, and will be loved forever.
True Bellamy
2008 thoroughbred 16.1 HH, dark bay gelding by Breeders Cup Winner Bellamy Road.
After earning a living as a racehorse for previous owner Jim Hill of Dewinton, AB, this little guy found his way to me, and is learning the life of an event horse! Trubie was 2nd at his first Beginner Novice Horse Trial, and won his second Beginner Novice at Rocking Horse Spring on his dressage score of 26. In the summer of 2012 he posted several top 3 finishes at Novice level, and upgraded to Training Level in the fall of ’12 with great success. He is now owned by Mr Charles Akre, and has done well at several Training level horse trials in 2013, and has won two combined tests at the Preliminary Level. I’m so grateful that Mr Akre shares my interest in this horse’s future, and I look forward to all the things to come!
